Process 001 — Building the First House Icon

The Heritage Cross Distressed Cap begins with washed cotton twill and a low-profile six-panel form. Controlled abrasion is concentrated at the visor edge while the crown remains structurally intact. Warm ivory crest embroidery, aged silver hardware and the detachable cross-and-pearl assembly turn construction details into permanent house codes.

Material Study 001 — Washed Cotton

Color is treated as surface rather than a flat dye choice. Washed Black, Vintage Ivory and Washed Gray form the first permanent palette. The intention is a dry, softened hand with visible age while preserving seam strength and shape.

Object Study — Cross / Pearl / Hardware

The cross should move from graphic to object: embroidery, clip, charm, buckle, pendant, ring and future hardware. Pearl softens the industrial metal language and creates a tension that can remain recognizable across collections.

Future entries will document wash trials, embroidery strike-offs, hardware development, jewelry prototypes, campaign studies and the evolution of each MA CROIX house object.
